175 Nepalis airlifted from Wuhan arrive in Kathmandu

175 Nepalis who were stranded in Hubei Province of China after the outbreak of COVID-19 arrived in Kathmandu on a chartered Nepal Airlines plane.

175 Nepalis who were stranded in Hubei Province of China after the outbreak of COVID-19 arrived in Kathmandu on a chartered Nepal Airlines plane.

170 of the 175 persons are students who went to different universities across six cities in the province.

Government had sent the aircraft to bring back 185 persons but six of them were barred from boarding the flight by the Chinese authorities citing medical reasons. Four others decided to stay back in Hubei at the last hour.
