The futility of war

Sahir Ludhianvi composed this poem after the 1965 India-Pakistan War. Its message is as relevant as it was then: only both sides are laced with nuclear weapons.

The recent rise in tension and calls for revenge in the wake of the Pulwama terrorist attacks once again put in sharp relief the utter stupidity of war as a way or resolving disputes.
