Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina yesterday said the government was careful so that prompt action could be taken against any kind of oppression of children in the country.

"We are taking steps to ensure security of children…we are giving special attention to it so that prompt action can be taken against any kind of oppression of children," she said.

The premier was addressing a programme marking the inauguration of the World Children's Day and Child Rights Week 2020 at Bangladesh Shishu Academy Auditorium. She joined the programme virtually from the Gono Bhaban.
