A court has sentenced five people to death after it found them guilty of gang-raping a madrasa girl in Bhuapur upazila of Tangail.

Tangail’s Women and Children Repression Prevention Tribunal Judge Khaleda Yasmin passed the verdict Thursday morning.

The death row convicts have been identified as Sagor Chandra, Sujon Moni Rishi, Rajon, Sanjit and Gopi Chandra Sheel.
