Law enforcers have arrested four people, including the main accused, over the incident of gang-rape and torture of a woman in Noakhali that sparked outrage after a recorded video of the incident was released on social media.

The arrestees are: main accused Badal, "Delwar Bahini" chief Delwar, Rahmat Ullah and Abdur Rahim.

The Rapid Action Battalion (Rab) arrested Badal from Dhaka and Delwar with weapons from Narayanganj, said Lt Col Khandakar Saiful Alam of Rab-11 today.
