Air India will resume scheduled flights to the Maldives on Friday.
Maldives’ passenger sales agent for Air India, Villa Travels said two weekly flights will fly between Male’ and Trivandrum. The airline will also operate between Male’ and New Delhi. The flights have been scheduled for Tuesdays and Fridays every week.
While travel restrictions have been imposed all over the world due to the COVID-19 pandemic, a special air bubble has been established between Maldives and India. The decision was announced last week during a meeting held between the foreign ministers of both countries. This is the first air bubble established in South Asia.
