Sri Lanka’s Railway Department has taken steps to cancel 15 trains on the main line from midnight today (7) until further notice due to the COVID-19 coronavirus danger.

Accordingly, trains running from Colombo to Ambepussa, Veyangoda and Mirigama will be canceled. In addition, the Denuwara Manike train bound for Badulla will not run from tomorrow (8), the Railway Control Room said.

Meanwhile considering the current Covid-19 situation in the country several government departments and institutions have cancelled their services.
