The body of a 31-year old Sri Lankan maid who has allegedly been tortured to death is to be repatriated to Sri Lanka officials of the Ministry of Foreign Relations said.

The young woman died in the early hours of Thursday morning at the Amiri Hospital in Kuwait, these officials said.
 
The local Security Officials in Kuwait are investigating as the housemaid was brought to the hospital in critical condition with traces of burns, cuts and wounds on her body, Arab Times reported.
