Doha: Qatar inviting Pakistan to the peace deal signing ceremony between the United States and the Afghan Taliban is a great honour and an acknowledgement of Pakistan’s efforts, said Pakistan Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi on Friday.

The foreign minister further said that along with the US-Taliban peace deal, international delegations are also discussing the sectarian riots in the Indian capital of New Delhi, The Express Tribune reported.

“The genocide taking place in New Delhi is also under discussion here,” Qureshi said. “Key members of the foreign relations committee had expressed their deep concern over the matter. Artists from all over the world have voiced their concern.”

He further said India had failed in isolating Pakistan on the diplomatic level. “Their efforts to place Pakistan on the FATF’s black have been squandered.”

Qureshi added that India tried its best to hinder the Afghan peace deal. “Nevertheless, if the deal is reached, it will be a huge success [for Pakistan],” he added.
