There are over 300 acid attacks against women that happen every year in India. Most are carried out by jilted lovers or rejected suitors with the aim of disfiguring or maiming the victim. This is the inspiring story of 10 women who refused to remain victims and wanted to reconstruct their life overcoming physical and emotional wounds. From acid attack survivors they became  entrepreneurs, running the  unique Sheroes Hangout  cafe in Agra, Uttar Pradesh. With Sheroes Hangout, the women have re-discovered themselves and gained renewed confidence to face the world.
