For the first time, nine Bangladeshis have made the Forbes 30 under 30 Asia list, The Daily Star reported.
The nine made the cut for their work in three sectors: enterprise technology, social impact and retail & e-commerce.
From 2016 till last year, a total of nine Bangladesh citizens made it to the list for their outstanding work.
Launched in 2011, by the prestigious business magazine Forbes, the '30 under 30' names the thirty movers of shakers under the age of thirty.
Among those who made it to the select category were Shehzad Noor Taus Priyo (24) and Motasim Bir Rahman (26), cofounders of startup Gaze – that builds Application Programming Interface (API) for visual recognition.
Mir Sakib (28), founder of Cramstack, made the mark on enterprise technology category for his startup that helps industries with its natural language-driven search interface to analyse and visualise data.
Shomy Chowdhury (26) and Rijve Arefin (26), co-founders of Awareness 360, a Kuala Lumpur-based NGO that has spread to 23 countries involving 1,500 volunteers, were rewarded for their campaign on personal hygiene basics such as handwashing, water-filtration and sanitation.
Ahmed Imtiaz Jami (27) had founded the OBHIZATRIK Foundation, which has supported one million people on poverty elimination, education, health and nutrition and human rights issues.
Rizvana Hredita (28) and Md Zahin Rohan Razeen (22), Co-founders of the startup Hydroquo+, provides AI-powered water management solutions that report on the quality of the water; identify leakage and provide forecasting of demand based on usage, the report said.
Morin Talukder (27) Cofounder of renowned e-commerce venture Pickaboo, also found himself among the august gathering for listing quality products and ensuring fast delivery.
