Dubai-based carrier Emirates on Thursday, announced the increase of services to Maldives from five weekly flights to six weekly flights, beginning from August 4 onwards.

The increase in flight movement coincides with the Seychelles border re-opening to international tourists, with holiday packages on offer through a selection of choice resorts in both island nations.

Emirate's assurance of flexibility
Given the gradual re-opening of borders across the world, Emirates noted revisions made to the company's booking policies, a move that offers customers "increased flexibility".

Customers whose travel plans were disrupted by pandemic-related flight or travel restrictions, can retain their ticket for 24 months and rebook to fly at a later time.

Furthermore, travellers can request for rravel vouchers to offset against future Emirates purchases and request refunds via the Emirates's website or through third-party booking agents.

Emirates' flight network currently covers over 60 destinations across the Middle East, Africa, Asia Pacific, Europe and the Americas.

The airline noted that comprehensive safety measures are in place to ensure the safety of customers and employees. Under these measures, Emirates will distribute complimentary hygiene kits containing masks, gloves, hand sanitiser and antibacterial wipes to all passengers. Emirates further reminded customers that travel restrictions remain in place and that travellers will only be allowed to board if they comply with the eligibility and entry criteria requirements of their destination countries, which can be viewed at the following link: www.emirates.com/wherewefly.
