Sri Lanka is to open up theatres for stage dramas and other concerts for on July 15, the health ministry said in a press release.

It said that all theatres are to operate with 50 percent of its seating capacity per show and follow the Covid-19 precautionary protocols.

It is mandatory that social distancing and necessary health practices should be followed by all personnel engaged in these activities.

Sri Lanka lifted Covid-19 curfew entirely on June 28 after steady progress was seen in the numbers of recovered cases and a dip in new cases.

The Health Ministry’s Epidemiology Unit reports 325 patients currently under medical care while 1711 patients have recovered and been discharged from hospitals as of yesterday.
