At least one civilian and a security force member were killed in an IED bomb explosion that targeted an army vehicle in Kabul on Monday afternoon, reported TOLOnews.
The incident happened in Police District 7 of the capital, the Kabul Police confirmed the incident in a statement. This is the second IED bombing being reported today. Earlier, a similar IED bomb targeted the vehicle of the peace ministry official.
Both the attack went unclaimed. The United Nations Assistance Mission in Afghanistan condemned the attacks against civilians and urged the Afghan parties to reduce violence.
The assassination spree of the Taliban, experts believe, is part of the group’s psychological tactics to demoralize the public and the Afghan government.
