At least 15 people have died with coronavirus symptoms in 10 districts of Bangaldesh since Tuesday afternoon. The district health officials collected samples from most of the victims' bodies for testing while local administrations locked down the victims' houses along with their neighbouring buildings

At least 15 people have died with coronavirus symptoms in 10 districts of Bangaldesh since Tuesday afternoon. The district health officials collected samples from most of the victims' bodies for testing while local administrations locked down the victims' houses along with their neighbouring buildings.

In Shariatpur, a 34-year-old man died with Covid-19 symptoms yesterday afternoon while receiving treatment at the isolation ward of Shariatpur Sadar Hospital.

In Gazipur, a 28-year-old man died at his home in Ulusara village of Kapasia upazila early yesterday. He was an employee of a pharmacy and returned home from Narayanganj with fever, cold and cough two weeks ago.

Another man of the district died with cold, cough and breathing issues at Kurmitola General Hospital yesterday afternoon while an elderly person died in Kaliakair upazila with the similar symptoms. Their samples were collected for tests.

In Manikganj, a man died with cold, fever and breathing complications in Saturia upazila yesterday. Health officials collected his sample for tests. The dead's house and few other adjoining houses were locked down to prevent the virus spread.


In Rangpur, a 30-year-old woman of the sweeper community died with Covid-19 symptoms at Bottola village in Kaunia upazila yesterday. Sample from her body was collected for tests.

In Sunamganj, a 22-year-old man died with Covid-19 symptoms at Boktarpur village in Dowarabazar upazila on Tuesday night.

In Panchagarh, a 13-year-old girl died with Covid-19 symptoms in Debiganj upazila on Tuesday afternoon. Health officials collected her sample for tests.

In Pirojpur, a 70-year-old man who returned from tablighi jamaat around two weeks ago, died with cold and cough yesterday morning in Nazirpur upazila.

In Moulvibazar, a two-year-old child died with fever and cold at Kalenaga village in Kamalganj upazila yesterday.

In Pabna, a five-month-old girl died of pneumonia and respiratory problems at Sanila village in Bera upazila yesterday morning.

Her sample was not collected as doctors guessed the infant was not infected with the virus, said Sardar Milon Mahamud, health and family planning officer in the upazila.

In Brahmanbaria, a 37-year-old Malaysia returnee died with coronavirus symptoms in Nasirnagar Upazila Health Complex on Tuesday night.

Besides, a 20-year-old man died with Covid-19 symptoms at Nobinagar Upazila Health Complex while a 57-year-old man died with similar symptoms at his residence in Bancharampur upazila.

A 45-year-old farmer of Banchharampur upazila died with coronavirus symptoms at Dhaka Medical College Hospital's isolation ward on Tuesday evening.

In Bagerhat, an 83-year-old man and his 75-year-old wife died in Morrelganj municipality area yesterday morning. The district health officials did not collect their samples and said the duo died of natural causes.

In Joypurhat, three families of Akkelpur Upazila were put in isolation yesterday as a 30-year-old man with Covid-19 symptoms returned home from Narayanganj on Sunday. His sample was collected for tests.
