A global survey to test the willingness of people for vaccines found that around 83 percent of Bangladeshi are willing to take vaccines, The Daily Star said. While vaccine willingness is the highest, 96 percent, in Myanmar, it is lowest for Kazakhstan, just 25 percent.

Last year, the majority of adults worldwide, 68 percent, told Gallup that they would agree to be vaccinated if a coronavirus vaccine were available to them at no cost.

In 15 countries, including India, which is currently dealing with a second catastrophic wave of the virus and where less than 10 percent of the population has received one dose, the percentage willing to take a coronavirus vaccine was between 80 percent and 89 percent.
