Bangladesh has recorded 2,364 fresh cases of COVID-19 in the last 24 hours - the highest daily tally of new cases reported since September 2.
 
The country also recorded 30 new deaths from the pandemic, raising the total death toll to 6,305 since the first death was reported on March 18, according to a press release of the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) issued on Thursday.

Bangladesh’s first COVID-19 cases were reported on March 8. The total number of infections has now surged to 441,159.
