Thirty-four COVID-19 patients died and 1,282 more people tested positive for the virus in Bangladesh in 24 hours till 8:30 am yesterday.

The total number of deaths from the virus in the country rose to 4,702. The death rate is 1.4 percent of all confirmed cases.

With the latest cases, the total number of confirmed cases rose to 336,044, said a press release from the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).

Bangladesh is now at the 15th place in the world on coronavirus case count, according to worldometers.info. France, the UK and Saudi Arabia are in the 13th, 14th and 16th spots respectively.
