RAFALE A GAME CHANGER !
With 5 Rafale aircraft reaching India on July 29, France has now handed over 10 jets to India. Calling it a game changer, former Air Chief Marshal B. S Dhanoa says that Rafale with its top of the line electronic warfare suite, Meteor beyond visual range missile and SCALP air to ground weapon with its terrain following capability, outguns any threat that the Chinese Air Force produces. Other experts including former Air Chiefs differ. The study examines their views and the challenges for the IAF, including boosting fighter jet numbers, indigenisation, complex defence procurement process etc.
