Maldivian National Police have arrested a 54-year-old Indian national for sexually harassing two women on the streets of Male’ City in the Maldives, reported Sun news. 

Police said that the two women were walking on the street when they were allegedly sexually harassed. Police said the incident happened on the night of 1 December. 

Police confirmed the nationality of the person as Indian. One of the women stated on Twitter that they were sexually harassed by the man on the Majeedhee Magu, which is one of the biggest roads and shopping streets in the capital.
