The capital city of Afghanistan, Kabul, woke up to multiple rocket attacks on Saturday morning in different parts of the city which killed at least one person while injuring another, TOLOnew reported. 

Another report in Reporterly says that at least 11 rockets were fired from a Saracha type vehicle.

Confirming the incident, the Afghan Ministry of Interior said the rockets were fired near the Hamid Karzai International Airport in Kabul and hit residential parts in the eastern Khwaja Rawash area.

The ministry spokesperson, Tariq Arian, said the preliminary report confirmed one person died while another injured in the incident.

This is the second such attack when multiple rockets landed in the city. Earlier on 21 November, 23 rockets were fired in the city that killed eight people. At that time the Afghan government came under heavy criticism as to why the security agencies failed to detect the mini-truck that had been used to fire these rockets in the city.
