Bangladesh Finance Minister AHM Mustafa Kamal today told the parliament that the economy is on the right track and it would turn around soon despite the fallout caused by COVID-19 pandemic.

"The current fiscal is the third year of the current term of our government. From the picture of progress in the first quarter of the fiscal year, it is safe to say that we are on the right track," he said while talking about a report on budget implementation.

Kamal said, "Despite the pandemic, we have been able to achieve a growth rate of 5.24 percent in the fiscal year 2019-20."
