Bangladesh Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina will seek UN intervention to make sure that COVID-19 vaccine is made available as a public good.

She will place the proposal when she addresses the UN General Assembly (UNGA) virtually on September 26, said Foreign Minister AK Abdul Momen at a virtual press conference today.

"Obviously, coronavirus pandemic will be a very important issue at the UNGA this year. The focus will be on how to cooperate in health and economic recovery from the pandemic," he said.
