Bangladesh peacekeepers have rescued 32 Chinese gold mine workers in the Central African Republic (CAR) from an attack by armed rebels.
On December 16, 2020, armed rebels attacked a group of Chinese nationals working at a gold mine in the Gaga area of the country and looted six vehicles from them, an ISPR press release on Sunday night.
Following the attack, the Chinese miners fled the area and sought refuge from a patrol team of Bangladeshi peacekeepers.
