A special meeting was held between Sri Lankan President Gotabhaya Rajapaksa and the President of the People’s Republic of China Xi Jinping on Zoom to exchange experiences on administrative matters of the two countries.

Representing Sri Lanka, President Rajapaksa was accompanied by Speaker Mahinda Yapa Abeywardena, Chairman of the Sri Lanka Podujana Peramuna (SLPP), Minister of Education Prof. GL Peiris, Minister of Sports and Youth Affairs Namal Rajapaksa, Secretary to the SLFP, Attorney-at-Law Sagara Kariyawasam and a group of local government representatives in the meeting held Sunday (November 08) as a zoom video session.

Representing China, Head of the International Liaison Department of the Communist Party of China, Song Tao, Communist Party Secretary of Hainan province Liu Cigui, Deputy Minister of the International Department of the Communist Party of China Guo Yezhou, , senior representatives of the Chinese Embassy and a number of leaders of the Chinese Executive Leadership School in Shanghai participated in the meeting.
