In a strange case, the Nepali police arrested two brothers from Rautahat district of Province 2 for faking their abduction in order to frame a neighbour, as per a report published in The Himalayan Times

In a strange case, the Nepali police arrested two brothers from Rautahat district of Province 2 for faking their abduction in order to frame a neighbour, as per a report published in The Himalayan Times. 

The police said the whole abduction was created just to wrongly frame a neighbour. Sanjiv Paswan, 28, and his younger brother, Rajiv Paswan, 23, were arrested on Friday. 

According to the report, the younger brother, Rajiv called the police and told them that his elder brother, Sajiv, was abducted by a neighbour named Jitu and his gang. He informed the police that they were all came wearing masks and entered his house by breaking doors. 

Police moved swiftly and arrested Jitu Paswan and Rajiv. During the course of the investigation, the police said, it was revealed the brothers had a row with their neighbour, Jitu, and has tried to frame him to extract Rs 30,000. 

Superintendent of Police Siddhi Bikram Shah said the duo have confessed their crime.
