The ruling Nepal Communist Party’s Secretariat meeting on Wednesday ended with a decision to hold the next meeting on November 28.

Earlier in the afternoon, the meeting had taken place amid uncertainty, as party chairs–KP Sharma Oli and Pushpa Kamal Dahal–were at odds. While Oli was for delaying the meeting by a few days, Dahal was bent on holding the meeting at any cost, even if Oli refused to attend.

In the nine-member Secretariat, the Dahal faction holds the majority.
