Pakistan security forces have seized the passport and mobile phones from Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) leader Anis Advocate, accusing him of involvement in the training of party activists allegedly through the Indian intelligence agency Research and Analysis Wing (RAW).

The Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) officially made Anis a party in the investigations and summoned him last week to face a grilling in the light of the reports prepared after interrogating arrested activist of Muttahida Qaumi Movement-London.

CTD Deputy Inspector General Omar Shahid claimed Anis failed to give satisfactory replies to the posers on allegedly facilitating the training of party workers.

The DIG said the mobile phones and passport confiscated from the PSP leader were sent for forensic analysis to further the investigations and the procedure to block his National Identity Card was started.

He said Anis was restricted from leaving the city or else he would be treated as an absconder, Tribune reported.

Anis, along with MQM-Pakistan Rabita Committee head Dr. Farooq Sattar, was summoned for interrogation after the CTD claimed to have exposed an alleged terrorist network backed by MQM-L, in Sindh.

According to the CTD, three alleged MQM-L activists were arrested from near the Landhi train station in a joint operation by the CTD and Federal Investigation Agency on May 28.

Two of the arrested suspects, Naeem and Imran, are the senior-most workers of the MQM-L Hyderabad wing, who claimed Anis and Sattar's involvement in linking them with RAW, the CTD claimed in a statement.

Naeem was the joint in charge of the party's Sindh organizing committee and was involved in forming a group of six military-trained members to kill opponent group members and organizing other terror activities, as per the orders they received from South Africa.

The statement maintained that both Naeem and Imran had been arrested several times earlier, while Imran had served on many posts of the organization.

The third arrested terrorist, Aleemuddinserved as the senior member of MQM-L's sub-organization, All Pakistan Muttahida Students Organisation and was involved in attacks on police and other terrorist activities in Karachi, it added.
