Colombo: The Sri Lankan government has recognized the Colombo, Gampaha, and Kalutara districts as high-risk zones for the spread of COVID – 19.
This was after health officials observed that large gatherings witnessed outside stores when the curfew was lifted this morning had posed a threat to the efforts to combat the pandemic.
Accordingly, the government instructed all leading supermarket chains and wholesalers to engage in door to door sales of essential items for the public in those areas.
