821 navy personnel fully recover from COVID-19

According to the Sri Lanka Navy, 821 naval personnel who had been infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals following full recovery

Colombo: According to the Sri Lanka Navy, 821 naval personnel who had been infected with the COVID-19 coronavirus have been discharged from hospitals following full recovery.

A total of 904 navy personnel out of the naval COVID-19 cluster were identified to have been infected with the virus.

The discharged naval personnel were instructed to stay in 14 days of further quarantine, as per the instructions of health authorities.

Meanwhile, group of 223 navy personnel quarantined at Sri Lanka Air Force Quarantine Center in Mullaitivu have left the center this morning after completing the quarantine period.

The naval personnel released today were confirmed by PCR tests that they were not infected with COVID-19 and have also been instructed to self-quarantine themselves for a further 14 day period before returning to duty.
