Considering the spread of the coronavirus in the country, the Immigration and Emigration Controller General has taken a decision to extend the validity period of all types of visas of foreigners who are currently in Sri Lanka for a period of 60 days.

The validity period of all types of Visas will be extended from 07th October 2020 to 05th December 2020, a media release said.

The procedure to pay the relevant visa fee and to get the visa endorsed in the Passport will be informed to the foreign national. Hence, foreign nationals are informed to refrain from visiting the Visa Division of the Department of Immigration and Emigration.
