Sri Lankan President Gotabaya Rajapaksa said that many international trade agreements that have been signed are not favourable for the country, the President’s Media Division said.
Re-Initiating the Export Development Council, the President emphasized that the agreements should be reviewed in a manner that would benefit the country.
The Export Development Council, which is officially chaired by the President, met after 28 years.
According to Basil Rajapaksa, the Chairman of the Presidential Task Force on Economic Revival, unnecessary rules and regulations that discourage exporters should be removed.
