Sri Lankan journalists to receive COVID vaccine; Minister

Sri Lanka's Minister of Mass Media Keheliya Rambukwella has forwarded a request to the Presidential Task Force on COVID-19 Prevention to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to journalists, who are also in the frontline against coronavirus by raising awareness among the masses.

According to the Department of Government Information, the minister had made the request at the COVID-19 prevention committee meeting chaired by the President, News First said. 

The minister had proposed for the vaccine to be given to journalists citing it was they who were raising awareness to the people ever since the first case was detected in Sri Lanka.
