Colombo (ECONOMYNEXT): Sri Lanka’s health authorities are reporting nine new cases of COVID 19 raising the total infected since the outbreak to 175.

Media reports say one of the infected is a 4-year old child admitted to the Negombo Base hospital.

Three of the patients are at the Homagama base hospital which now has a special section for COVID 19 patients.

The total number of active cases is 137 with 33 completely recovered and five deceased.
