Authorities in the United States issued the Level 3 advisory for Sri Lanka because of surging COVID-19 cases, reported Colombopage. Americans have been asked to reconsider their travel to the island nation.
Sri Lanka, along with other South Asian countries, is currently witnessing a COVID-19 surge. The worst affected India has already been placed at Level 4 warning, and all flights from there are banned.
Under Level 3, US citizens have been advised to reconsider their travel plans to Sri Lanka.
