The World Health Organization (WHO) has agreed to provide the COVID-19 vaccine to 20% of the country’s population, a WHO official has said according to the Ministry of Health.
This was stated by Dr Razia Pendse, Resident Representative of the World Health Organization (WHO) in Sri Lanka at a discussion held at the Ministry of Health today (09) under the patronage of the Minister of Health Pavithra Wanniarachchi.
The Minister also took steps to appoint a special committee to look into the matters of funding, determining who gets the vaccine, management of relevant physical resources, obtaining information, filing of information etc.
