India conducts highest-ever 2 million tests in past 24 hours, daily positivity rate declines to 12.45 per cent

With more than 2.66 million tests conducted in the last 24 hours, India said it has set a new record for the highest tests conducted in a day. This is also the fourth successive day of more than 2 million tests in India.

The daily positivity rate has declined to 12.45%.

India’s Daily Recoveries continue to outnumber the Daily New Cases for the ninth consecutive day, IBNS said. 

India’s cumulative recoveries have reached 2,30,70,365. The National Recovery Rate has grown further to touch 87.76%.

In another positive development, India has recorded less than 300,000 Daily New cases for six consecutive days now.

However, India continued to record high fatalities due to COVID-19 as the country witnessed 4,194 deaths in the past 24 hours, as per the Ministry of Health released data on Saturday.

The total death toll due to the virus now stands at 295,525.
