Maldives reported 94 COVID in a single day

The Maldives’ Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 94 confirmed positive cases of the COVID-94 in last 24 hours taking the total number of the cases 12,546 in the country, Sun news reported

The Maldives’ Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 94 confirmed positive cases of the COVID-94 in last 24 hours taking the total number of the cases 12,546 in the country, Sun news reported.

Of the total positive cases confirmed on Friday, 38 are locals and remaining 56 are foreigners. The active cases, however, remains at 997. Nearly half of the cases, 49 came from greater Male region while 45 cases reported from other atolls. 

42 cases alone reported from Rah Falhu Hurra, a resort development project in Hurra atoll. Meanwhile, 22 patients made recovery in the last 24 days. 

Presently 320 patients are in differents isolation facilities and 80 others are admitted in the hospitals across the country. 

In the last week, the Maldives reported the highest confirmed cases, 110, on November 16. 

Outside the greater Male region, 13 residential islands still have active cases. 42 tourists and 158 staff from 27 resorts are still positive across the country.
