Record 150 active COVID-19 cases reported in Maldives in 24 hours

The Maldives’ Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 150 confirmed positive cases of the COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases 12,758 in the country, Sun news reported

The Maldives’ Health Protection Agency (HPA) has reported 150 confirmed positive cases of the COVID-19 in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of cases 12,758 in the country, Sun news reported.

Of the total positive cases confirmed on Monday, 58 are locals and the remaining 92 are foreigners. The active cases, however, remain 1090. 62 cases alone came from the greater Male region while 88 cases reported from other atolls.

Meanwhile, 16 patients made recovery in the last 24 days.

Presently 342 patients are in differents isolation facilities and 92 others are admitted to different hospitals across the country.

This is the highest case count in a single day this week and active cases among foreigners are increasing.

Outside the Greater Male region, 14 residential islands still have active cases. 58 tourists and 233 staff from 32 resorts are still positive across the country.
