Love for cricket knows no boundaries. And when it comes to fan following, former Indian captain and star batsman Virat Kohli has plenty in Pakistan, despite the two nations sharing frosty relations. Recently, former Pakistani cricketer Shoaib Akhtar tweeted a picture, showing one of these moments when fans publicly expressed admiration for the cricketer from across the border.
In the picture shared by Akhtar, a fan can be seen holding a Virat Kohli poster during one of the matches of the ongoing Pakistan Super League (PSL). "I want to see your century in Pakistan," read a message on the poster, with the fan seemingly sure that his plea will get attention in the right quarters.
The former fast bowler, also known as Rawalpindi Express, tweeted, “Someone spreading the love at the #GaddafiStadium."
This year, the Pakistan Super League (PSL) began on 27 January and will end on 27 February. Indian players are contractually bound not to play in foreign leagues.
