Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli has promised vaccines against COVID-19 to all eligible citizens and called for global collaboration to address the issue of lack of proportional distribution of vaccines, The Himalayan Times reported.

In an address to the nation, he said vaccines would be managed for those waiting for the booster dose and for others as well.

Stating that entire plans of the developing countries had been affected in the absence of proportional distribution of vaccines, he insisted on global collaboration to address the issue.

He laid stress on unveiling an integrated, coordinated and  comprehensive national policy to fight the pandemic, and said the implementation of prohibitory order was for saving the lives of people from the virus.

Prime Minister Oli also assured stern action against anyone involved in any form of assaults on health/medical workers.
