To help Nepal increase its agriculture production, Isreal will provide eleven months of training to around 500 Nepali students and also set up an Agricultural Centre of Excellence, The Himalayan Times reported.

The Israeli ambassador to Nepal and the agriculture and livestock minister of Nepal held discussions on Wednesday on the program which would allow Israeli technicians and experts to provide technical assistance to Nepali farmers.

During the meeting, the Israeli envoy also assured its support to Nepal in establishing the Agricultural Centre of Excellence. Israel has a reputation for using smart, innovative farming techniques to increase yield with limited resources.
