The NCP faction led by Nepal Prime Minister KP Sharma Oli issued directions to reconstitute all committees of his party before the elections, reported The Himalayan Times.

Oli announced his decision on Tuesday while addressing a rally of his party workers in the capital Kathmandu. Oli asked his party worker not to remain in doubt about elections. He said the elections have been announced and will happen on time.

“I urge all not to be in doubt about the elections. I request all to be united and involved in the party purification campaign for the right principles and prosperity of the nation,” Oli was quoted as saying by The Himalayan Times.

Oli’s statement came in the backdrop of the 22 petitions challenging the decision of the house dissolution by him.

The prime minister also trained his gun on his rivals, saying those seeking the split of the party have no ideology. In veiled references to Pushpa Kamal Dahal and Madhav Nepal, he said, some leaders are misguiding youths.

Oli said his party is in the favour of a peaceful political process. “We do not believe in violence but in people. There will not be any irregularities now unlike in the past,” he added.
