Domestic flights in Nepal will resume operations with just fifty percent occupancy initially from 1 July, the country's Council of Ministers approved the move, reported The Himalayan Times. Nepal had banned domestic flight services on 4 May following the second wave of the Covid-19. 

The Civil Aviation Authority has been directed to ensure the implementation of all necessary safety protocols. Operators have been asked to take all necessary precautions for safe travel. Earlier, the country’s Ministry of Culture, Tourism, and Civil Aviation permitted internal flight operations from today.  

According to the schedule, the national flag carrier Nepal Airlines Corporation (NAC) will fly to Doha while Turkish Airlines will fly from Istanbul on Thursday. The other international destinations designated for flight operation are Japan, Delhi, Abu Dhabi, Oman, Dammam, and Kuala Lumpur.
