Nepal reported six more COVID-19-related deaths, on Wednesday, to take the national toll to 312.

The Ministry of Health and Population confirmed 1,081 new infections in the last 24 hours, taking the total number of infections to 49,219—15,025 of them active.

In Kathmandu Valley, 464 cases were reported in the past 24 hours—394 in Kathmandu, 36 in Bhaktapur and 34 in Lalitpur districts. As of Tuesday, the number of cases in the Valley has reached 9,440. A total of 6,942 cases were detected after prohibitory orders came into effect on August 19 midnight.
