Nepal on Monday reported 15 COVID-19-related fatalities taking the death toll to 862. The country also recorded 1,741 new cases, pushing the national infection tally to 159,830.

The number of active cases stands at 43,293 as 115,675 people have made successful recovery—4,005 of them in the past 24 hours.

According to the Ministry of Health and Population, Kathmandu Valley recorded 895 new cases in the past 24 hours. Of them, 673 cases were confirmed in Kathmandu, 146 in Lalitpur and 76 in Bhaktapur.
