Pakistan Prime Minister Imran Khan has attributed the positive trends in the country’s economy – improvement in stock market performance and increase in investors’ confidence – to the business friendly policies of the PTI led federal government.

“All over the world, Pakistan is being praised for performing well in economic terms despite a difficult situation [caused by the coronavirus pandemic]. The credit for this goes to our economic team,” Imran Khan said while chairing a meeting of his economic team on Friday.

“Thanks to God Almighty, the country has come out of difficult times. The government is now working on a comprehensive strategy to open new avenues of development,” the premier said, according to a statement issued by the PM office after the meeting.
