Bangladesh High Commissioner to India Mohammad Imran will be part of a team of top diplomats from South Asia and Latin America who will visit the facilities manufacturing COVID-19 vaccines in the western Indian city of Pune on Friday.

The Ambassadors and High Commissioners from over 20 countries will visit the production facilities of Indian vaccine-makers Serum Institute, which is manufacturing the AstraZeneca-Oxford vaccine, and Gennova Biopharmaceuticals, officials said today.

The aim of the diplomats' visit is to give them an idea of India's vaccine-manufacturing infrastructure, they said.
