Pakistan’s Foreign Minister Shah Mahmood Qureshi on Friday alleged that India is planning a “surgical strike” against Pakistan, as per a report in Dawn. The minister’s statement came during a press conference in Abu Dhabi, UAE to sum up his two-day trip to the country.

Calling the development serious, Qureshi said in Abu Dhabi, "An important development has cropped up [...] I've learned through our intelligence forces [...] that India is planning a surgical strike against Pakistan."

The minister further went on to suggest that India is also seeking “tacit support” for its design from the nations it considers Pakistan’s allies. India is planning operations, he alleged, in order to divert attention from “serious internal divisions” and as a "means to unify the country."

During the press conference, he also mentioned the recent report by EU Disinfo Lab and highlighted that India is running fake websites and NGOs to malign Pakistan’s image in the west.

Qureshi also reminded that Pakistan had recently exposed “Indian sponsored terrorism in Pakistan” through a dossier it shared with international communities.
