Sri Lanka has settled its swap facility with the Reserve Bank of India as scheduled, the Central Bank of Sri Lanka (CBSL) announced.

The CBSL said there was no special request from India for a premature settlement as erroneously reported by certain media outlets.
The Bank further added that discussions on future collaborations continue.

Earlier, it was reported that India had decided not to extend the time period to pay a US$ 400 million loan obtained by Sri Lanka as a currency swap last year.
